Ben Fogle
“To try is to risk failure. But risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.”

Join friends of the Himalayan Trust UK to celebrate the 11th Sir Edmund Hillary Memorial Lecture with Ben Fogle, modern day journeyman & broadcaster.

Ben will be sharing his many tales, from swimming with crocodiles to conquering Mount Everest; from crossing Antarctica to rowing the Atlantic ocean; from the animals of Longleat to “New Lives in The Wild” from a year “Castaway” on an island in the Outer Hebrides, to the world stinging nettle eating championships.

If you like Ben’s TV shows then you’ll love this evening of inspiring storytelling and adventure from around the world.

The Himalayan Trust UK is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. At the start of the evening’s lecture they will provide a short update on the Trust’s valuable education and health work, started by Sir Edmund Hillary himself.

Previous speakers have included Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Alan Hinkes OBE, Stephen Venables, Dr Mike Gill, Jan Morris, Leo Houlding, Prof David Vaughan, Dr Hugh Lewis-Jones, Doug Scott CBE, Sir Chris Bonington and Kenton Cool.
