• Undertake a remote and unique trek in the Karakoram range under guidance of renowned mountaineer Tim Macartney-Snape
• View K2 from the West Mustagh pass
• Explore Snow Lake, a high altitude glacial basin covering an area 700 square
kilometres, surrounded by the distinctive granite towers of the Karakoram
• Venture beyond the well trodden routes
• Traverse Nobande Sobande glacier; climb a 6000m peak (conditions permitting)
• Trek through one of the world's most heavily glaciated regions outside polar
• Cross the Lupke La to Snow Lake at the head of the Biafo Glacier
• Be part of an expedition which is exploratory in the truest sense of the word, with
conditions and possible objectives being the catalyst for our itinerary
• Enjoy the services of a top level crew including specialist high altitude porters
• Trek to K2 basecamp, Concordia
• Cross the famed Gondogoro La, weather permitting
• Experience the wonder of trekking beneath K2, the Gasherbrums, Masherbrum,
Broad Peak, Trango Tower, Cathedral Peaks, Mustagh, Chogolisa and many more • Spend four days at Concordia, home to arguably the most spectacular mountain
scenery on earth and the perfect base for forays into the surrounding range • Reach K2 Base Camp, the foot of the second highest mountain in the world • Trek along the famous Baltoro Glacier
• Travel with Andrew Lock, who has climbed K2 and has a unique
insight into the region which he is keen to share with trekkers
• Experience a breathtaking mountain flight from Islamabad to Skardu
ITINERARY | DAY 1 | Join Islamabad 2 | Fly to Skardu 3/4 | In Skardu 5 | Drive to Askole approx 8 hrs 6 | Commence trek to Jhola (3200m) approx 6 hrs 7 | Trek to Panmah via Shingrsa approx 5-6hrs 8/13 | Trek to Nobande Sobande Glacier. The following days are exploratory trekking, as a guide we may trek to Moribima, Skinmag (Japanese BC), the Chirring Glacier and West Muztagh Pass. Participants will need to be flexible we may or may not reach these points, depending on conditions and the group as a whole 14 | Return trek to Skinmag approx 4-5hrs 15/18 | Traverse up the Nobande Obande glacier and cross over to the Braldu Glacier 19/24 | Cross Lukpe
La descend to Snow Lake and continue down the Biafo Glacier, finishing in Askole 25 | Drive to Skardu 26 | Fly or drive to Islamabad 27 | In Islamabad 28 | In Islamabad, trip concludes
