SPONSORING LOCAL PEOPLE
The World Expeditions Foundation [WEF] raises funds for grass-roots community development projects in impoverished communities around the world.
The funds we raise through WEF are used to finance Community Development Projects. These projects aim to improve access to education, in communities around the world, in the belief that education is the pathway out of poverty, for many people.
We have sponsored a guide every year since 2012 to complete a scholarship training course through the Kilimanjaro Guide Scholarship Foundation.
The course trains guides in Tour Operations, Tourism, Geography, Wildlife Knowledge and Basic Computer Application.
