  ACCOMMODATION
The following pages outline the various accommodation arrangements specifically suited to particular adventures. Our aim is to provide comfort
whilst immersing you in the environment for a true adventure!
CAMPING | Camping refers to trips using mobile tents. These may be large dome tents or smaller hiking tents. Local crews erect the tents or on semi-participation safaris, guests are expected to assist. Equipment (dining, kitchen & toilet tents) is supplied; on rare occasions bush toileting may be required. Shower facilities are a bucket-shower on selected trips. On mountain treks, there are no shower facilities, however, washing water is provided.
HOMESTAY | Staying with a local family – where we share their home – provides travellers with a genuine insight into the local culture, and helps put back much needed funds into communities. While the standard is basic, with often dormitory style sleeping arrangements and shared bathroom facilities, it provides an experience no other style of accommodation can.
MOUNTAIN HUTS | This is essentially camping but with the use of a basic shelter. These shelters generally consist of dormitory rooms with shared bathroom facilities and in the majority of cases are not exclusive to our groups. Some mountain huts have cooking facilities that will be used by your crew; others have separate shelters for this.
CHALETS|InSouthernAfrica’snationalparksandsmall towns, chalets offer simple, clean and comfortable accommodation on a twin share basis, and occasionally have shared bathroom facilities. These are usually private and self contained units located in garden, beach or forest settings; with full kitchens, dining areas and BBQ facilities so guests can cater for themselves.
