Competition Terms and Conditions
Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Conditions of Entry.
The Promoter is World Expeditions Travel Group Pty Ltd, Level 5, 71 York St Sydney NSW 2000. ABN 98 001 424 568.
To Enter
Entrants must follow either the World Expeditions Facebook or Instagram page, like the social post linked above and comment on the post where their dream 2020 big adventure is. By entrants also tagging a person in the comments section of the post, they will receive an extra entry into the draw. Entrants can only enter once. Entry is open to all individuals aged 18 years. There is no entry fee.
The Prizes
The Promoter will select the winners, who have correctly followed the above entry conditions, at random.
The main prize winner will receive:
· Fifteen (15) day Beyond the Markha Valley trek with World Expeditions for one (1) person (twin share).
· Inclusions as per the trip notes at worldexpeditions.com/mvt
· Total prize valued at a maximum of $3070AUD per person (equivalent to $3190NZD; $2249USD; $2899CAN; £1550GBP; €1710EUR).
Winner must travel on a fixed departure on either 27 June 2020 (tour will conclude on 11 July 2020) or 22 August 2020 (tour will conclude on 5 Sep 2020).
The runner up prizes consist of five (5) x $100 (AUD, NZD, USD or GBP100, depending on where the winners are located) gear vouchers from Kathmandu.
Travel is subject to availability and trips meeting a minimum number of four booked passengers on the trip for the main prize. The main prize cannot be changed once the booking has been confirmed by the Promoter or its agents with the prize winner. Winner must have a valid passport needed for travel.
The main prize excludes any airfares, any taxes, travel visas and travel insurance. Any pre / post night hotels and airport transfers outside the scheduled itinerary, or other ancillary costs not mentioned in the detailed trip notes or within these terms and conditions are not included. Winner can hire gear at their own expense.
The main prize winner is responsible for all other items of personal nature, including spending money, insurance, transport to and from their departure point, drink, meals (except where stipulated), personal equipment and all other ancillary costs.
Winner Announcement
The Promotion will run between 7 November 2019 – 16 December 2019. The prize will be drawn on Thursday, 19 December 2019 2PM AEDT and the winners will be notified via email within 14 days of the draw date. The draw will take place at World Expeditions, Level 5, 71 York St Sydney NSW 2000. The winners will be notified by Facebook or Instagram direct message and announced online on the World Expeditions Instagram/Facebook page by 7 January 2020. Judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered.
Claiming the Prize
The winners must claim their prize by January 20, 2020 11:59PM AEST, otherwise the prize is forfeited and further draw(s) will be conducted.
The Promoter reserves the right to request the Entrant produce (within the requested time) appropriate identification, contact details and information deemed necessary for the Promoter at its sole discretion in order to confirm the Entrant’s identity or eligibility to enter and claim the Prize.
Entrants agree to provide any information and contact details and information deemed necessary for the Promoter to supply the prize. World Expeditions Travel Group cannot be held responsible for any technical, communication or postage issues that prohibit either party from delivering and/or claiming the prize. Providing of the correct contact details are the responsibility of the winner.
Redeeming your Prize must be done directly with World Expeditions. For the main prize and a booking form must be completed and signed by the participants acknowledging the terms and conditions of participation. The main prize is redeemable for the land only content, commencing in Delhi as outlined in the detailed trip notes found at worldexpeditions.com/mvt.
The Prize is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, cannot be on sold or exchanged and is the sole property of the winner. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of a similar value.
If the information required by the Promoter is not received by the Promoter (or its nominated agent) or an Entrant or entry has not been verified or validated to the Promoter’s satisfaction, then all the entries of that Entrant will be ineligible and deemed invalid.
Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and agents associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Employees of the Promoter (and their immediate families), as well as its subsidiaries and related companies and any agencies associated with this Promotion are not eligible to enter.
