The Munda Biddi Trail, meaning "path through the forest" in the local indigenous language, is a world class cycling trail in southern Western Australia. The trail weaves its way from Albany to Mundaring just outside Perth, traversing a wide range of forest and coastal landscapes. Through Jarrah, Karri and Tingle forest, along the coast and through 15 picturesque South-West towns, all up the trail is over 1000 kilometres long.

On this tour we will complete 207km of the southern half of the trail over 6 unforgettable days. Ride free of trailers or heavy panniers as you will be supported by a vehicle. Stay in comfortable accommodation each night and enjoy having all delicious meals provided for you. All you need to do is pedal and admire the unique and stunning Western Australia landscape; our team will do the rest.

Today we transfer towards Albany, a port city on the edge of Princess Royal Harbour. The trip begins with a pick-up at 7:00am from Fremantle (Parry Street Carpark, below the prison) or 7:45am from Perth (Tourist Coach Stand at 37 Beaufort Street, near the corner of James Street). We drive out through Perth's surrounding National Parks and State Forests, and inland through small settlements. With morning tea and lunch provided on the way, we will arrive on the south coast in Albany mid-afternoon and continue driving to Torbay where we start our first ride. The ride is mostly easy going, with the odd hill – a perfect start to this epic adventure. We will ride straight to our accommodation for the first night in the centre of the quaint coastal town of Albany. After a refreshing shower, we will meet for a short walk to our dinner for the evening where we can relax and enjoy our first group meal together.

After breakfast we get going for our first big ride. Our vehicle will transfer us back out to Torbay. Today's ride - Torbay to Denmark has a good riding surface with a few decent hills. There are plenty of opt out points along the way for those who wish to have a shorter day of riding; the vehicle can transfer you and tour bike directly to the accommodation. Our riding finishes in the town of Denmark where we will be staying for the next three nights.

From Denmark it is easy going and a particularly scenic route out to Green’s Pool, one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. There is then a long a long up hill section heading out towards Mt Shadforth, followed by a long down hill, to Scotsdale Road. The riding is mostly through farmland today. Again, those seeking an easier option, can shorten the day if they wish. At the end of the ride, the bus will be waiting to take us back to Denmark.

A great day today! We will begin by weaving our way through some more farmland and passing one of the beautifully built campsites (don’t worry we are not sleeping there!). After morning tea, we start to head back into the tall trees of the National Parks. There are a few short challenging sections today which will test us, but it is all achievable. Again, those seeking an easier option, can shorten the day if they wish. The bus will be waiting for us at Nornalup Rd, to take us back for our last night in Denmark.

Meals:  B,L,D

Today we will be changing accommodation. We will pack up and check out before we head out for the day. Today we spend the majority of the day riding through the back of the National Park. Our ride today is simply stunning, taking us past Mount Romance through dense forest of tall Karri and Tingle trees. The Tingle tree is one of the tallest eucalyptus found in Western Australia and can reach the lofty height of 55m and live up to 400 years. In the evening we check into our accommodation in Walpole.

Meals:  B,L,D

Our last day of our cycling adventure! A short ride this morning with a few challenges, so it is no easy push off into the sunset. We are given magnificent views of the expansive Nornalup Inlet at Coalmine Beach; a wonderful way to finish this unforgettable cycling journey. There will be time to enjoy a hot shower and our final lunch together before we transfer back to Perth and say farewell. We aim to drop you off in Perth by 4:30pm.
