Join legendary mountaineer Peter Hillary - son of Sir Edmund Hillary and one of the world's most respected Everest speakers - for an evening introducing a rare opportunity to travel with him on a journey across Ladakh, Everest, Darjeeling and Bhutan. This exclusive 19-day departure is run through World Expeditions' charity arm, Huma, in support of the Australian Himalayan Foundation (AHF).

Peter will share what makes this an extraordinary journey and why it's about far more than the trekking. Travelling across four distinct corners of the Himalaya, you'll move from the high desert monasteries of Ladakh to the iconic trails of the Everest region, on to the colonial hill station of Darjeeling, and finish amid the mountain kingdom of Bhutan. Along the way you'll visit AHF-supported projects in education, health and conservation, meeting the communities they serve firsthand - all while fundraising for a cause with deep personal meaning to your host.

What we'll cover:
• The route: Ladakh, Everest, Darjeeling and Bhutan, and what makes each region unique
• Peter's personal connection to the Himalaya and the Hillary family legacy
• AHF's work on the ground - education, health and conservation projects you'll visit
• How the fundraising side of the journey works
• Live Q&A with Peter

Your host:
Peter Hillary is the son of Sir Edmund Hillary, the first person to summit Mount Everest, and has spent a lifetime following in those footsteps - and forging his own. An accomplished mountaineer in his own right, Peter has completed the Seven Summits and been on over 40 expeditions across the world's great ranges. Since 1990 he's led fundraising for the Himalayan Foundations and is a board member of the Australian Himalayan Foundation, continuing his family's commitment to the people who make Himalayan travel possible. Considered one of the world's foremost Mt Everest speakers, Peter is known for his warmth, dry wit and gift for storytelling. Travelling with Peter means hearing the Himalaya's history and its future from someone who has lived both.

About Huma:
Huma Charity Challenge is the fundraising arm of the World Expeditions Travel Group, connecting travellers with causes on the ground through fully supported adventure journeys. With no upfront fees for the charities involved and over 50 years of adventure travel expertise behind every departure, Huma has helped raise more than $15 million for charities worldwide - turning life-changing trips into lasting impacts for the communities you visit.

If you join us live, you'll have the opportunity to get your questions answered in our live Q&A at the end. Can't make it live? Register to receive the recording to watch in your own time.
