Bhutan Festival Adventures
Trek, walk and journey through the Kingdom of Bhutan, timed to its living festivals
Bhutan holds more living festivals than almost anywhere else in the Himalaya, and our trips are built around them. Our adventures take you to the masked dance at the Paro Tshechu, into the fortress courtyard of Thimphu Dzong for the Thimphu Tshechu, through the sacred Bumthang valley for the Jambay Lhakhang fire ceremony, and into the Phobjikha Valley as black-necked cranes arrive each October for the valley's own festival.
Choose a cultural adventures through Paro, Punakha and the central valleys, or a trek that climbs into the high country before descending for the festival itself. Trip gradings run from Adventure Touring to Introductory-Moderate, so whether you're after a gentler cultural journey or a longer trek beneath Jomolhari, there's a fit here. Every trip is run with our long-standing Bhutanese partner and local guides throughout.
